This role is based within a supported living service supporting two, potentially three gentlemen with learning disabilities and associated needs. The supported living service is set within a bungalow located in Middleton St George.  All staff members receive thorough inductions and are led by an experienced and dedicated manager.

Please note: Interviews will be held at one of our supported living services in Darlington.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support hours for the people who live with us vary according to individual care plans, and support is tailored around specific needs, so full flexibility is required. Shifts will take place between the hours of 7am and 10pm and will involve additional sleep ins. Weekend and bank holiday working is also required.
• Promoting independence and supporting with daily activities.
• Taking part in the chosen activities of the gentlemen who live with us.
• Supporting with finances, budgets, and shopping.
• Personal care.
• Supporting one to one.

Who you are:

• Shifts can change to suit the needs of the people we support, so full flexibility is a must.
• The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.
• Motivated and a team player.
• Experience working in a social care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities is preferred but not essential.
• Drivers preferred but not essential.
